Horizon Academy at Marion Oaks

#RiseUp 23-24

Welcome to Horizon Academy at Marion Oaks

  • Horizon Academy is located in the heart of Marion Oaks. We originally opened as a 4th-8th grade school, transitioning to a 5th-8th grade school, and we are now a traditional middle school campus—serving students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Middle school is a challenging time and our goal is to work with families to support our students as they work towards becoming successful members of our community. After high school they are going into one of The 4 E’s. They are either gaining Employment, Enlisting in the Armed Forces, Enrolling in post-secondary education, or becoming Entrepreneurs. We’re beginning those conversations now to help students find their path.

We know that students strive when presented with positivity, structure, and expectations. The Big 3 is in everything we do. We do our BEST. We do what’s RIGHT. We treat others the way WE want to be treated. We hold students to high expectations by providing rigorous coursework through Advanced courses. Parents will have multiple opportunities to engage in our curriculum through our Family and Parent Engagement events throughout the year. We know students can surpass goals when given academic supports and we firmly believe we will #RiseUp in 2023-2024.
