What Parents Need to Know

  • Distance Learning begins April 1st.

    Please be sure to check out your child's teacher web-page in order to see what tasks have been assigned. If your child has more than one teacher, be sure to visit both web-pages. Also don't forget to check out the special area teacher web-pages for your child's weekly tasks for Art, Music, and Physical Education. Below is the schedule for Special Areas:

    Do You Need to Check Out a Chrome book during Distance Learning?

    Call the school to set up a pick up time. There is an optional $25.00 insurance fee that will cover replacement if the chrome book should be damaged or lost during the check out period.

    Extended Day

    • $30.00 – Registration Fee (non-refundable)
    • $25.00/wk/per child – Morning
    • $45.00/wk/per child - Afterschool
    • $50.00/wk/per child - AM and PM

     

    Skyward Family Access

    Registration for Skyward Family Access continues. You must register at your child's school and provide a valid photo ID to the Registration Clerk. The school will provide you an account number and PIN on a printout with instructions on how to activate your account from the Internet.

     

    Volunteer!

    Last school year, 5,341 MCPS volunteers put in more than 157,624 hours of their time to benefit students in Marion County Public Schools.

     

    Plan to be a school volunteer. There are many ways that you can help our school and students. There will be a volunteer orientation where you can sign up to be a volunteer. Watch for information coming home.  Parents and other interested persons may not volunteer until they have filled out a volunteer application.  Applications can be picked up at school in the front office.

     

    Plan to chaperone a field trip or to become a school volunteer?  There are many ways that you can help our school and students. 

     

    A volunteer/chaperone orientation will be held where you can sign up.  Parents and other interested persons may not volunteer until they have filled out and turned in a volunteer application for approval.   You must do a new application every year.   To apply you must complete an application and attach a state Photo ID.  It can take up to 3 weeks to be approved.  There will be an application completion deadline.  Watch for information coming home or pick up an application in the front office.
