Welcome to North Marion Middle School
Welcome to North Marion Middle School - Home of the Junior Colts! Our mission is to provide a quality academic program that prepares students to become responsible and successful in our global society.
Welcome to the North Marion Middle School website. This website will assist you in getting important information you need about our school.
The instructional program at North Marion prepares our students for a rigorous academic or vocational program at the high school of their choice. In order to achieve this goal, we offer a variety of programs to put our students on the path to the three “E’s”, Enrollment in college, Employment in our community or Enlistment in the armed forces when they complete high school. Middle school is critical to prepare students for these career paths.
North Marion Middle is home to the first and most established middle school Cambridge program in Marion County. The Cambridge Lower Secondary program, founded by Oxford University in England, is a stimulating and comprehensive college preparatory program for middle and early high school students. The goal of the Cambridge Lower Secondary program is to challenge students academically in order to prepare them for the rigorous college preparatory programs offered in Marion County, such as the Cambridge program at North Marion High School, the IB program at Vanguard, or the Dual Enrollment Academy at Westport, just to name a few. We are also proud to be a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics magnet. We offer a variety of activities and programs throughout the year in these important areas.
The entire staff at North Marion Middle School is here to serve you and your child. Please feel free to contact us at (352) 671-6035 if you have any questions or concerns.
Mr. J. Matt Johnson, Principal
