Safe Halloween

The PTO will meet on the following dates:

Our goal is to continue to provide the support needed to maintain the excellent programs and educational opportunities our children enjoy at Hammett Bowen, Jr. Elementary.

We need YOU to accomplish this goal! Please join PTO! Membership is $3 per family per year. You can become involved by volunteering for specific fund raising events or by giving your time at Hammett Bowen, Jr. Elementary during school hours. By joining PTO, you help support many of the enrichment programs Hammett Bowen, Jr. Elementary PTO provides throughout the year. When everyone helps a little, we can accomplish a lot! Volunteer!

Parents are invited and encouraged to volunteer at school. Every effort will be made to find every parent a way to participate actively in his/her child's education. Volunteers are needed to tutor students, shelve library books, make games, file papers, and chaperone field trips. In order to chaperone field trips, parents must have volunteered at least 10 hours in the classroom, media center, cafeteria, through SAC or PTO, or helping the teacher outside the classroom. If you are interested in helping out, contact Mrs. Adams, Assistant Principal and Volunteer Coordinator, at 291-7900.

Don't forget our PTO fundraising partner, Shoparoo! With the FREE Shoparoo app, all you have to do to help us support our school is take pictures of your grocery receipts with your phone! This includes ANY grocery store, supercenter, club store, dollar store, drug store, convenience store, beauty supply store, pet supply store or toy store!! WOW, you can help us raise money by simply taking a picture of those receipts! How easy is that??? Hammett Bowen receives a donation for EVERY grocery receipt picture taken using the free Shoparoo app! Lets all get together and help support our school!

Just follow these steps:

• Download the free Shoparoo app from the Apple App Store of from Google Play Store
• Open the app and choose our school as your cause
• Take those pictures of your grocery receipts!
• To help us raise even more money, invite your friends, other parents, extended family to participate!
