“PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY”
PREMIERES TOMORROW
MARION COUNTY – Dozens of community representatives are going back to school Tuesday, November 1, but not as students. Instead, they will be shadowing administrators in a new program called “Principal for A Day,” sponsored by Engage in Education, an on-going community conversation that is part of the Public Education Foundation of Marion County.
Community representatives will experience leading a school alongside the school-based principal, allowing them to better understand the accomplishments and challenges schools face every day.
“Principal for A Day” also helps participants personally witness the dedication and motivation of the principal and school staff, the students’ eagerness to learn and the enormous number of services offered at each school.
After the full-day experience, participants will gather at Marion Technical College at 4:30PM to debrief and share their perspectives.
For more information, contact Judi Zanetti, executive director of the Public Education Foundation of Marion County, at 352.671.4167 (Judith.Zanetti@marion.k12.fl.us) or my office directly.
