PROM KING AND QUEEN NOMINATIONS:
TO NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR PROM KING OR QUEEN, FILL OUT THIS FORM. Only West Port students attending prom may nominate someone. Only West Port seniors attending prom may be nominated. The deadline to nominate someone is Monday, March 27th at 4 p.m.
After nominations close, students attending prom will be able to vote on our king and queen. More information will be posted to cast your vote once nominations end.
PROM BUS SIGN-UPS: Prom bus sign-ups will begin Wednesday, March 22nd during the first half of Power Hour in Ms. Loftus' classroom! You MUST show your West Port ID in order to sign up. You will only be allowed to sign yourself up for the bus. If you are bringing a guest who is not a West Port student, you will be allowed to sign that person up, but that is the only exception for signing up others. If you have friends you would like to be on the same bus with, you need to come in together to sign up for the bus together.
Bus sign-ups will end on Wednesday, March 29th. You may only sign up for a bus during the first half of Power Hour! You will not be allowed to sign up at any other time.
West Port's 2017 Atlantis-themed prom will be held on April 1st at the beautiful Disney World Boardwalk Inn in Orlando. With your ticket, you will get a chartered bus ride to Disney World, a fantastic buffet dinner that is friendly to allergies, a beautifully decorated ballroom to dance the night away in and favors. This will be an unforgettable night; get your ticket now, so you don't miss it! Tickets are $100 and are now on sale in Ms. Loftus' room, building 8, room 7, during the first half of Power Hour. Tickets will be sold through the first half of Power Hour on March 3rd. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. You may not purchase a ticket at any other time aside from the first half of Power Hour.
IF there are still tickets available after March 3rd, tickets will be sold during Power Hour until Tuesday, March 21st for $120. These tickets will be sold only as space permits. Waiting to purchase a ticket until after the March 3rd deadline means you are not guaranteed a ticket.
Your ticket gets you a chartered bus ride to Disney, an amazing dinner, snacks, favors and most of all an unforgettable night that you don't want to miss!
To purchase a ticket, students must:
1. have a 2.0 GPA or higher
2. be off the debt list
3. have a good attendance record and discipline record. Students with more than a few absences will have to sign attendance contracts stating that they will attend a full day of school every day and will not be late to school.
BEFORE YOU PURCHASE A TICKET, YOU MUST FILL OUT A PERMISSION FORM. (Permission forms can be picked up in Ms. Loftus' room during the first half of Power or can be printed out here.) IN ORDER TO BUY A TICKET, YOU MUST HAVE BOTH SIDES OF YOUR PERMISSION FORM COMPLETELY FILLED OUT. You must have your West Port ID with you to purchase a ticket.
NOTE: Every West Port student must purchase his/her own ticket. Any student wanting to buy a ticket must purchase the ticket him/herself.
Students are allowed to bring guests. Guest must fill out a regular permission form AND a special guest form. ALL GUESTS WILL ALSO NEED TO TURN IN A COPY OF THEIR DRIVER'S LICENSE AT THE TIME THE GUEST FORM AND PERMISSION SLIP ARE TURNED IN. Guest forms need to be printed from here and turned in to Ms. Loftus. Guests must be in high school or fewer than 21 years old. Guests must be approved by Student Services before you can purchase a guest ticket. The deadline to turn in a guest form in order to purchase a ticket by the March 3rd ticket deadline is February 24th. Any guest form turned in after this cannot be guaranteed to be processed in time to purchase a ticket before March 3rd. Students must check back with Ms. Loftus during Power Hour to see if there guest is approved. It is your responsibility to see if your guest is approved and purchase the ticket by the deadline.

**In order to attend, students must arrive at West Port by 5 p.m. Buses will drop students back off at the school roughly between 1:15-1:30 a.m. ALL students must have a ride immediately upon returning to the school. Students, if a parent or someone else will be picking you up, it is your responsibility to make sure they are at West Port when we return. Parents, please make sure your child has a ride home from the prom that is at West Port by the time we return. Our buses will be parking behind the PAC.**
